living with
for my MFA thesis document, i created a non-linear essay drawing influence from hypertext games and ergodic literature. i am currently adapting the content of the document into a twine game incorporating images, sound, and video from my thesis exhibition.
knot piece
as a part of my MFA thesis exhibition, i created a textile sculpture that invited interaction from visitors to the space. over the course of the week, friends, family, and strangers tied knots in long red threads hanging from patchwork and reclaimed fabric.

pick three threads. touch at least one of them.
think about a time you put a feeling in a knot.
like braiding your hair, or wrapping a present, or tying their shoe.
a knot makes a loop. a knot makes complication, resilience.
with the thread you touched
make a knot (or two, or three).
all of our echoes tangle together –
a plane, a map, a rhizome.
(if you want,
you can whisper a secret into the thread
and only the knot will know)
